Washington quarterback Alex Smith attended the team’s organized team activities Thursday. The team’s official Twitter account posted two photos of Smith Womens Bryce Love Jersey , including one of him casually throwing a pass. The caption read: “Alex Smith at day three of OTAs supporting his teammates.”Smith was not in uniform.Neither picture showed the quarterback’s lower leg, but Rhiannon Walker of TheAthletic.com reported Monday that Smith “still has the cast around lower calf and the stabilizer holding it in place, but he’s walking and moving well. In good spirits and everything.”Smith’s future is uncertain as he tries to recover from compound and spiral fractures of his right leg during a Nov. 18 game, as well as a post-surgical infection that added complications to an already serious injury.Washington traded for Case Keenum and drafted Dwayne Haskins and hopes to see the return of Colt McCoy from a fractured fibula that required three surgeries. ESPN Senior Writer and draft guru Todd McShay dropped his latest mock draft early Thursday morning. You can see his entire first round here (Insider Subscription required). round https://www.theredskinslockerroom.com/authentic-terry-mclaurin-jersey , and can go in many different directions based on team needs and projected value at that pick. However, most expect the Redskins to target a quarterback if one they like is available in the early rounds. Despite Drew Lock and Daniel Jones sitting there at #15, McShay has the Redskins taking a play-making wide receiver.15. Washington RedskinsMarquise Brown, WR Montez Sweat Jersey , Oklahoma*Washington really wants a receiver, and Brown is an absolute burner. Despite being 5-foot-9, he can win vertically and has shown the ability to pluck the ball away from his body even as he rips along in fifth gear. The Redskins will keep an eye on quarterback Alex Smith’s recovery, but Brown makes sense here for a team that needs a spark on offense. As a Redskins fan Dwayne Haskins Redskins Jersey , how do you feel about the 5’9” 168 pound speedster in the first round?

BTSC guesses which numbers will beassigned to each new drafted Steeler."A number is an athlete’s identity. Some free agent arrivals try to pay big bucks to get the same number they’ve worn elsewhere. But for rookies https://www.thesteelerslockerroom.com/authentic-terrell-edmunds-jersey , a lot of times they are at the mercy of the equipment managers. Join us as BTSC continues our fun tradition of predicting what digits the new Pittsburgh Steelers draft class will proudly represent. ILB Devin Bush - MichiganRick Osentoski-USA TODAY SportsCollege Number: 10Projected Number: 55Level of Certainty: The HighestLike Ryan Shazier, Bush wore No. 10 at the conclusion of his college career. There’s no way they would give Bush No. 50, it’s technically still occupied. Plus it would be wrong for so many reasons. Before he announced it, I deduced that Bush would wear either No. 55 or No. 40 in Steel City, with my leaning toward Jerry O and Peezy’s old digits. Seems like that’s what it’s going to be. Bush will wear it well.WR Diontae Johnson - ToledoPhoto by Duane Burleson/Getty ImagesCollege Number: 3Projected Number: 82Level of Certainty: MediumJohnson wore both No. 3 and No. 19 in college. Slapping a one in front would work, but James Washington dons that digit and No. 19 is becoming a staple of the team with JuJu Smith-Schuster becoming a face of the Steelers. With all of the comparisons to the departed Antonio Brown, they could give him No. 84. But why put that kind of pressure on the kid? No. 82 is still a good receiver’s set of numbers. CB Justin Layne - Michigan StateMike Carter-USA TODAY SportsCollege Number: 2Projected Number: 24Level of Certainty: Fairly HighNo. 22 would be logical for Layne Womens Terrell Edmunds Jersey , having worn “the deuce” as a Spartan, but Steven Nelson is “double deuces” since his No. 20 at KC is occupied by Cam Sutton. No. 24 has been worn by great Steeler corners like Ike Taylor and J.T. Thomas. Lets hope Layne finds good company with those players.RB Bennie Snell Jr. - KentuckyRandy Sartin-USA TODAY SportsCollege Number: 26Projected Number: 26Level of Certainty: HighSince Snell has already been seen posing with a two-six and homemade BSJ Steeler jerseys have appeared on social media, this seems like a no-brainer.TE Zach Gentry -MichiganQuinn Harris-USA TODAY SportsCollege Number: 83Projected Number: 81Level of Certainty: Fairly CertainThe No. 83 that Gentry sported in the maize and blue is being occupied by WR Diontae Spencer. Spencer has a long road to make the team, so Gentry could walk into his old digits later should he make it. But for now, he takes over the No. 81 from another really tall Big Ten TE drafted to the Steelers in Round 5. Ironically, Jesse James is playing football in the state of Michigan. EDGE Sutton Smith -Northern IllinoisJake Roth-USA TODAY SportsCollege Number: 15Projected Number: 54Level of Certainty: None at all Would have gone double-fives here, but another LB snagged it here. The Steelers lately have had a tendency to give rookie LBs a number in the forties. However Womens James Conner Jersey , 54 is a good fit for a linebacker. DL Isaiah Buggs - Alabama Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY SportsCollege Number: 49Projected Number: 96Level of Certainty: MediumNo. 49 is occupied by two dudes right now and not a defensive lineman’s digits, so give Buggs the last number left in the 90s.LB Ulysses Gilbert III - AkronDavid Dermer-USA TODAY SportsCollege Number: 5Projected Number: 51Level of Certainty: MediumUlysses is a linebacker that will need to make the team via special teams. For some reason I’m getting visions of Sean Spence here. With him wearing No. 5 in college, Spence’s No. 51 seems like a good fit. Here’s hoping he plays more like the James Farrior version of No. 51 more than the aforementioned linebacker.OL Derwin Gray -MarylandReinhold Matay-USA TODAY SportsCollege Number: 55Projected Number: 79Level of Certainty: LowIn my opinion, the two best OL numbers that are unoccupied are Nos. 79 and 77. Since Gray had 55 in college and it’s been spoken for by the top selection, the seventh-rounder gets back to double digits with 77.Last year, we predicted 2 of 7. Can we top it? But Brown has been so good for so long, it’s hard to argue that he doesn’t deserve his spot. What can be argued is the fact that he’s ranked outside of the top five after spending the last few years solidly inside it. What did Brown do that made him fall? Nothing that I can tell- he’s been amazingly consistent and should be so for Oakland.Brown is nestled squarely between A. A. Ron Rodgers at #8 and Tom Brady at #6. Todd Gurley comes in at #5. Expect to see some order of Patrick Mahomes Bo Jackson Jersey , Aaron Donald, Khalil Mack and, who knows, maybe Drew Brees in the top four.

Free agent offensive lineman Zane Beadles is retiring from the NFL.He announced his decision in two Twitter posts Monday.“After nine years in the NFL Womens John Elway Jersey , many things led to me deciding retirement from this profession was my next step,” Beadles wrote. “I look back on my time with gratitude for the amazing experiences this game provided and the amazing people I met that made me a better man.“I can’t thank the people who helped me get there and stay there enough. . . .I am excited for the next chapter for my family and I. I know the lessons learned living the crazy life this great game requires will propel us forward into more greatness.”The Broncos made Beadles a second-round choice in 2010. He played 137 games, starting 90 Bradley Chubb Broncos Jersey , including nine appearances and five starts for the Falcons last season.Beadles, 32, also played for the Jaguars and the 49ers. Phil Taylor Von Miller Jersey White , a first-round pick of the Cleveland Browns in 2011, has announced his retirement from football.“I’d like to thank the NFL and the Cleveland Browns for drafting me,” Taylor wrote in a post on his Twitter page. “I’ve made my home in NE Ohio with my family. I love the Cleveland fans and can’t wait to give back to the community that supported me. I’m officially retiring!”Taylor hasn’t appeared in a regular season NFL game since 2014 with the Browns. Stops with the Denver Broncos and Washington Redskins since then have proven unsuccessful as injuries helped to derail his career. He was released as a part of final roster cuts with Washington last September in what became his last bid to make a roster again.Taylor appeared in just 44 games in four seasons with the Browns. He was a member of the 2011 Pro Football Writers’ Association All-Rookie Team after recording 59 tackles and four sacks in the only full 16-game season of his career. Knee injuries ended his 2014 season and kept him out of the NFL for all of 2015. He joined the Broncos in 2018 before a knee injury on the second day of training camp landed him on injured reserve. In perhaps his best chance to restart his career with Washington in 2017 Royce Freeman Jersey , a torn quadriceps ended the comeback in the preseason. He re-signed with the team for 2018 but did not make the roster.

ASHBURN Montez Sweat Jersey , Va. (AP) — Hugh Thornton had to walk away.Ankle injuries knocked him off his feet periodically during his first three seasons as a guard for the Indianapolis Colts and cost him his fourth after having reconstructive surgery.“I knew that if I was going to be back, if I was going to reach my goals an NFL player, as a football player, as a man, I was going to have to take a step back in order to take two steps forward,” Thornton said. “So, that’s what I did.”He retired at 25.Now more than two years removed from a painful decision similar to what former teammate Andrew Luck made last week, Thornton is attempting to complete an NFL comeback with the Washington Redskins that would be a major milestone in a lifelong journey full of adversity. Thornton was 12 when his mother and sister were murdered in a nearby room in his native Jamaica. He endured a rocky and sometimes abusive relationship with his father, spent time in foster care and bounced around to 12 different schools before returning to his mom’s hometown in Ohio for his senior year. After those experiences and the strife caused by his right ankle not holding up, Thornton is finally in a place that he can tackle this challenge.“Some things don’t work out the way that you’d want them to, and that’s OK,” Thornton said. “I don’t know if I’d be who I am if I didn’t have the adversity that I had in my life, and that adversity has led me to be in a position to help other people in my family that weren’t able to do the same thing I did.”Thornton is 28 now, and it has been over 15 years since he woke up to find his mother, Michele, and 8-year-old sister, Marley, bound and stabbed to death. As difficult as it is to return to Jamaica, Thornton visited family and friends there during his time away from football — an important step to getting his mind in the right shape as much as his body.“I just got away completely, just unplugged and recharged,” he said. “I just focused on my rehab, focused on my family, focused on my personal life to make sure that when I did have the opportunity physically, spiritually and mentally I was going to be all right.”Bad advice led Thornton to go from a college playing weight at Illinois of 285 pounds to 336 at the scouting combine, and he played at 340 for his first three pro seasons before that took a toll on his right ankle. A third-round pick of the Colts in 2013 Dwayne Haskins Jersey , he played in 37 and started 32 games for them, but by the time he injured the ankle again, he was mired in what he calls a “bad environment” and had to do something about it.“He stepped away and realized that he needed to get all the way right,” said offensive line consultant Duke Manyweather, who has considered himself something of Thornton’s big brother for the past year and a half. “In some regards that meant cleaning up and cleaning out some of the things and people in his life, including some family. I think that meant making himself completely uncomfortable.”Luck reached out at the time, Thornton recalled Monday, “just to let me know that he was proud and just keep pushing forward.” So, he did. Finally healthy in mid-to-late 2018, Thornton worked out in Dallas with Manyweather and offensive linemen like Philadelphia’s Lane Johnson and New Orleans’ Terron Armstead to get back into shape — he got his weight down to 298. He took part in 140 consecutive workouts, got back into the swing of things with the short-lived Alliance of American Football and went right back to Manyweather when the league folded.Only one NFL team called.“He was on our list and we brought him in and he had a really good workout,” Redskins coach Jay Gruden said. “Hugh’s got good feet, he can move a little bit, so it’s good to see him and get him out there and get him back in the game a little bit.”Thornton impressed starting right guard Brandon Scherff right away with his inquisitive nature and hard work. He faces an uphill climb to make Washington’s 53-man roster given the numbers game on the offensive line , but Thornton appreciates the chance to show what he can do after so much time away.“A lot of people don’t get a first opportunity, and I’m blessed to get a second one,” Thornton said. “I’m just super stoked to be here, and I appreciate everybody that’s helped me on my way to get here.”One of those people is John McFarland, who coached him during his senior year at Oberlin High School when Thornton’s aunt Lydia opened her home to live there. Lydia Nord in 2012 was sentenced to a year in prison for her role in an attack that left a man dead.Given the tumult in Thornton’s life, McFarland couldn’t be more impressed with how he has handled every twist and turn.“He’s overcome so much as a young person that an ankle injury’s probably a small thing compared to what he had to overcome as a young person all by himself with the tragedies and kind of being almost all by himself,” McFarland said. “I guess what inspired me and amazed me was he wanted to be at school, he wanted to be at football practice. I never heard him make an excuse or complain or woe is me. And you kind of felt when you see a kid that’s humble and hard-working and focused like that, you just knew great things were going to happen.”Those great things could still be ahead, though Manyweather already chalks this chapter up as a win for Thornton getting back into an NFL locker room. Thornton will have one final chance to show he deserves a roster spot Thursday in the preseason finale against Baltimore.“Just by him being able to suit back up and be in the game, if he made the team or any other team Dwayne Haskins Redskins Jersey , it would be the true definition of resilience,” Manyweather said. The Redskins Could Use Another Gap Shooting DT, Right?"Daniel Wise, DTSchool: Kansas | Conference: Big 12College Experience: RS Senior | Age: 22?Height / Weight: 6-3 / 281 lbsProjected Draft Status: 4th - 7th RoundNFL Comparison: Tom JohnsonCollege StatisticsPlayer OverviewDaniel Wise was a 3-star prospect out of Lewisville, TX with strong football roots. His father, and Saints, and his brother, Deatrich Wise Jr. wastaken by the New England Patriots in the 4th round of the 2017 draft. Wise turned down offers from Colorado, Missouri, SMU, and Texas Tech, instead choosing to playing Lawrence. He was a 4-year starter at Kansas, accumulating 152 tackles and 17 sacks over his tenure. There seems to be some sense among experts that Wise was misused at Kansas, and that his true strength is playing as a gap penetrating three-technique - a talent he showcased at the East-West Shrine game, where he jacked his draft stock significantly.Even perhaps playing out of position, Wise was named First Team All Big 12 in 2018 during a season in which he had 34 tackles, including 12.5 for a loss, and 5 sacks.StrengthsAbility to penetrate gaps.Good burst and hand work in the pass rush.Very high motor.Able to shed blocks.Has very good range.Great tackling ability.WeaknessesNeeds to improve strength. Can be knocked off balance.Run stopping.Two-gapping, which is what he played in college.Let’s see his workHow He Would Fit On The RedskinsThe Redskins are already stout along the defensive line, but the best way to retain that competence is to continue drafting for depth at the position. A month or two ago, Wise was being project as a potential 7th rounder or UDFA. After his break out during the Shrine Game festivities, the secret seem to be out, and he’s being talked about as a potential 4th or 5th rounder.Wise could be a great mid/late round project for Jim Tomsula and a potent addition the defensive line as a pass rushing specialist. His ceaseless motor and gap blasting quickness would be a welcome addition and change-up to our beefy bruisers currently dominating the line.

CINCINNATI (AP) — Ben Roethlisberger saw the defensive alignment and knew immediately that the Pittsburgh Steelers had a chance for a winning touchdown. All he had to do was get the ball to Antonio Brown right away.Brown took a few strides Jerome Bettis Jersey White , caught the pass and ran behind Justin Hunter’s block for a 31-yard touchdown with 10 seconds left Sunday and yet another improbable — and entirely predictable — victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. The Steelers’ 28-21 win made it eight straight and counting over their AFC North rival.“We’ve been in that situation a lot, and I knew we were going to do it,” Brown said. They always do.James Conner ran for 111 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the eve of Le’Veon Bell’s possible return to help the Steelers (3-2-1) get ahead, but they had to pull off their third last-minute rally at Paul Brown Stadium to extend the streak.Joe Mixon’s 4-yard touchdown run with 1:18 got the Bengals (4-2) thinking they might finally have their breakthrough. Roethlisberger and the Steelers stunned them again.Big Ben came to the line on the decisive play and saw that the Bengals were set for an all-out blitz with no safeties to guard against a big play. He immediately thought touchdown.“When you see that look, it’s how fast can I get him the ball,” said Roethlisberger, who is 14-2 in his career at Paul Brown Stadium.Brown caught the ball in stride, cut Hunter’s block and outran the secondary for the winning score, leaving thousands of Steelers fans twirling their towels in the stands while stunned Bengals fans stood and watched a familiar ending. The Bengals are 2-16 against the Steelers at Paul Brown Stadium during coach Marvin Lewis’ 16 seasons, including a pair of playoff losses.“Imagine how we feel,” Bengals cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick said. “I imagine how the fans feel.”These Ohio River rivalry games are usually nasty James Conner Jersey White , and this one had its moments. After Andy Dalton’s final pass fell complete, several players got into a scuffle in front of the Cincinnati sideline. After a sloppy September, the Steelers have won two in a row and found their stride behind Conner , who became the featured back when Bell decided to hold out. Conner has run for more than 100 yards in each of the last two games, and his pair of 1-yard touchdown runs Sunday put him in the company of a pair of Steelers Hall of Famers.Conner has seven rushing touchdowns in six games, joining Franco Harris (1976) and Jerome Bettis (2004) as the only Steelers with that accomplishment.“James was a bowling ball today,” said Roethlisberger, who joked that it was probably the running back’s final game amid reports that Bell would return.JuJu Smith-Schuster had a spectacular catch — leaping over cornerback Darqueze Dennard and taking the ball way — that set up Conner’s second touchdown.Bengals receiver Tyler Boyd had a solid game against his hometown team, catching touchdowns of 2 and 14 yards .Cincinnati linebacker Vontaze Burfict was in the middle of several dustups. He had words with Roethlisberger only 3 minutes into the game. He stepped over Conner on the running back’s first touchdown, prompting a teammate to push him away before the situation could escalate.Burfict also hit Brown in the head — he wasn’t penalized — after a catch, causing the receiver to leave for a couple of plays. In 2015 Womens Jerome Bettis Jersey , Burfict’s hit to Brown’s head helped the Steelers rally for an 18-16 playoff win. On Sunday, Burfict yelled at a reporter in the locker room after the game for asking a teammate about the latest hit on Brown’s head.“A nasty hit,” Brown said.SHAZIER’S RETURNSteelers linebacker Ryan Shazier returned to the stadium where he suffered a spinal injury last December. He’s been on the sideline for games this season. His return to Paul Brown Stadium was emotional for all the Steelers.“He’s inspired us,” coach Mike Tomlin said. “Hopefully he’s inspired many outside of us.”DALTON MOVES UPDalton finished 26 of 42 for 229 yards, moving ahead of Boomer Esiason for second on the Bengals’ career passing list behind Ken Anderson. Dalton fell to 3-12 against the Steelers.INJURIESBengals: RB Giovani Bernard missed a second straight game with a knee injury. LB Nick Vigil left with an injured left knee in the first quarter. ENGLEWOOD Joe Flacco Jersey , Colo. (AP) — Snubbed from the combine and in the 2018 draft, Denver Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay is the first undrafted offensive player in NFL history to make the Pro Bowl as a rookie.“I am so blessed … It is a tremendous honor and I am so thankful to all of Broncos Country for supporting and believing in me this season,” Lindsay wrote in his thank-you post on Instagram Tuesday after the league announced the roster for the all-star game next month in Orlando, Florida.Excluding special teams players, the only other undrafted rookie to make the Pro Bowl was Dallas Cowboys defensive back Everson Walls in 1981. A Grambling alum, Walls went on to make three more Pro Bowls in a 14-year NFL career.Lindsay grew up in Aurora, Colorado, attended Denver South High School and starred at the University of Colorado. When he went uninvited to the combine and undrafted six weeks later Bradley Chubb Jersey White , he chose his hometown Broncos over several other suitors, notably the Ravens, so he could live in his parents’ basement and save money.Lindsay is 9 yards shy of becoming the third undrafted rookie in league history to top 1,000 yards rushing. He has a 5.5-yard average per carry and nine touchdown runs. He also has 33 receptions for 230 yards and a score. He’s the only player ranked in the top 5 in rushing yards, rushing average and TD runs.Lindsay will join teammate Von Miller, the reigning Pro Bowl MVP, in the game on Jan. 27. DeMarcus Lawrence continues rehab on his shoulder, but even while doing that Womens Bradley Chubb Jersey , the Cowboys defensive end is thinking about getting a leg up on Von Miller. The Broncos linebacker has talked openly about breaking Michael Strahan’s single-season sacks record. Strahan had 22.5 in 2001. it before Miller does.“My goal is to be the best that’s ever played this game,” Lawrence said Saturday at SportsCon 2019 in Dallas. “For sure, I want to beat that sack record, make it my own, so he can talk about beating my record. I’m going to just wait until I get to the season and then worry about sacks.”Lawrence, 27 Womens Dre'Mont Jones Jersey , had 14.5 sacks in 2017 and 10.5 last season and got paid for it. He signed a five-year, $105 million deal this offseason. The two-time Pro Bowler delayed shoulder surgery until getting his money, so Lawrence didn’t go under the knife until April. Private defensive line coach Brandon Jordan recently posted video of Lawrence using his shoulder while working out in the sand.“The mobility and my strength is coming back naturally,” Lawrence said. “I’m working every day. I’m able to do things. I’m just still limited. Just taking my time. I’ve got time still.”Lawrence is expected to start training camp on the physically unable to perform list, although he said Saturday he has no idea what the plan is.“My main thing is to be ready by Week One,” Lawrence said.

Davis had interest from a lot of programs including LSU but the one that was on the top of his list was Auburn. So while Clemson, Kentucky, and Florida State were extending offers and trying to set up visits Davis was hoping that head coach Gus Malzahn would pick up the phone and call him. Malzahn did just that and Davis didn’t waste any time and committed to Auburn. Davis ended his Auburn career on a high note reaching several milestones statistically (over 100 tackles in a season and over 10 tackles for loss) and making a case the he belongs in the conversation with this year’s top prospects at the position. Davis is instinctive and has a high football IQ. There is a running joke that he actually calls the plays and the defensive coordinator just gets paid for it. Well there is some truth to that Davis has called plays and was responsible for getting all the guys in the right place pre snap. His teammates and coaches characterize him as a hard worker and great leader who has the potential to run a defense at the next level.StrengthsGood size, physicality, strength, read and react ability and instincts for the position. Davis stands out on film because of his ability to diagnose a play and work downhill towards the ball carrier to make a stop. He is full speed ahead and bangs and disrupts to get to the ball. He isn’t one of the top tier athletes at the position but he is going to run in the 4.6’s which is good enough to land him around the 75th percentile according to mockdraftable. He has enough quickness and speed to seal off rushing lanes and get into the backfield and also can make QBs uncomfortable. He is a prolific, consistent, and reliable tackler. Once he gets his hands on the opposing player they go down. He used good technique to wrap up and has some legit power to his hits. Praised for his cerebral abilities on the field and overall football IQ. Was given responsibilities at Auburn that didn’t just extend to himself but to the entire defense. Praised for his work ethic and leadership ability.WeaknessesDoesn’t have that top tier speed, flexibility or agility we see with some other prospects at the position. While he isn’t slow his change of direction skills are noticeably labored and stiff at times.Dropped into coverage a good amount at Auburn and doesn’t excel in this area. Sure he can stick with a few tight ends but his technique and fluidity are going to make you want him play as close to the LOS as possible at the next level unless he can really make strides here.Needs to learn how to use his hands to get off blocks better. Like his counterpart Devin White he prefers the brute force method instead of the strategic one. He would be a much more effective player.Let’s see his work:More Deshaun Davis videosHow He Would Fit On The RedskinsFor anyone who has read my linebacker profiles for the past few years you might have noticed that I love guys like this. While lost of people prefer elite athletes at the position I think we can look at some of the best inside linebackers in the NFL and point out that most of then didn’t run sub 4.5s. I’ll take physicality, work ethic Womens Bryce Love Jersey , instincts and read and react ability at the position any day of the week. That said I think Davis would be a nice compliment to Zach Brown or Reuben Foster as the TED in the 3-4 base. You still need strength and physicality at the position as a lot of times the TED helps clear the way for the more athletic MIKE. I think Davis could help the Redskins a lot on run defense and I would love to see him get a few opportunities to rush the passer as well. What I hope they don’t do is put him on Zack Ertz because that would be stupid. Davis needs to get better at his abilities in coverage but there are simply going to be some guys he can’t stick with, one of the best tight ends in the NFL is going to be one of them. I think Davis is a fringe day 1 starter for the Redskins who will have the luxury (perhaps) of learning for a year before he steps into a starting role. The first round of the 2004 draft brought three great quarterbacks to the NFL Antonio Brown Raiders Jersey , and J.P. Losman. One of those great quarterbacks will be moving after this season. Another one could be, too. With Eli Manning‘s departure from the Giants a foregone conclusion, the Philip Rivers train seems to be pulling into the station in L.A.Even before Thursday night, the signs were there for a quarterback change. In recent years, the Chargers have flirted with the idea of drafting an eventual replacement. From a possible trade up for Marcus Mariota in 2015 to the potential selection of Deshaun Watson in 2017, the idea of moving on from Rivers has lingered for a while.Rivers turns 38 a month from today. This year, his numbers are down from 2018. On Thursday night, he threw three interceptions — and two more that were overturned by penalty. With the game on the line, Rivers failed to complete a pass, going 0-for-7 with an interception. While the blame extends beyond Rivers, especially since the Chargers had plenty of time and three timeouts to get in range for a potential game-winning field goal, the quarterback’s throws were grossly inaccurate. In hindsight, that could be the moment that the Chargers decided the time has come for change. There’s another reason for the Chargers to make a change after the 2019 season. They’ll be moving into a new stadium next year, and they’ve had a hard time establishing a fan base in L.A. They need to consider adding players who will energize the franchise and, in turn Womens Antonio Brown Jersey , the pool of paying customers. At quarterback, they should seriously consider making a run at Cam Newton, if he’s available in trade.trying to sign Tom Brady, who would definitely sell PSLs, tickets, and jerseys. That doesn’t mean it’s over for Rivers. He’d be a great addition to a team like the Titans, which would be a real contender with better quarterback play. But it feels like it’s over for the Chargers and Rivers. Just like it’s over for the Giants and the quarterback who made a power play that kept him from being drafted and retained by the Chargers more than 15 years ago. Since the Raiders traded Amari Cooper to the Cowboys for their 2019 first round pick, we’ve been forced to follow their season due to the draft pick implications. And since that day, we’ve watched that draft pick drop lower and lower. The Cowboys were 3-4 when they made the trade with the Raiders and would win seven of their last eight games to win the NFC East. Saturday night the 4-seed Cowboys would continue their winning ways to take down the 5-seed Seahawks 24-22 and advance to the Division round. It means the pick the Raiders receive from the Cowboys will be no higher than 26 overall.Appropriately enough, Amari Cooper himself was a major factor in the Cowboys getting the win. The former Raiders top pick receiver caught 7 passes for 106 yards to help his new team advance in the playoffs. As it happens, former Raiders longtime kicker, Sebastian Janikowski also played a role as he pulled hamstring on a long field goal attempt at the close of the first half. The field goal hooked wide right and the Seahawks had to go the rest of the way without him. They would lose by two.Follow @LeviDamien

This year’s free agent class it’s all about the slot guys. This is a great thing for the Raiders for two reasons. One Derek Carr Jersey White , because that’s what they need. They have Gareon Conley and Daryl Worley to patrol the boundaries, so they need a guy who can keep up with the speedy slot guys and maybe take over the outside corner spot when needed as well. And two, because slot guys tend to be more affordable than the every game starters on the outside. Here are the guys the Raiders are sure to be taking a long look at this free agency.Ronald Darby, EaglesDarby has started in all but one game in which he’s appeared over his four years in the NFL. The problem is he has appeared in just 17 games over the past two seasons. He landed on partial season IR after the first game of 2017. Then he returned to the lineup in week ten and was a key starter in the Eagles’ Super Bowl run, including six pass breakups in their three playoff wins. Last season he was lost after week nine. Also suspect was the 2015 Bills second round pick getting traded for a third round round pick after two seasons. But the Eagles don’t seem to have any regrets about making that trade.Darqueze Dennard, BengalsA first round pick by the Bengals in 2014 while Paul Guenther was defensive coordiangor. Under Guenther in 2017, Dennard had his best season, playing all over the field, he appeared in all 16 games, starting six with 2 interceptions, one returned one 89 yards for a touchdown, and six passes defended. He also had a career high 83 tackles and added 2.0 sacks. Dennard had started a career-high 9 games last season before landing on injured reserve. He still matched his pass defended totals of 2017 (6) and had similar tackle numbers per game as well. Guenther may want to get ahold of the 27-year-old Dennard again to continue his career development.Bryce Callahan, BearsThis 5-9, 188-pound slot corner has been quite impressive over the past two seasons in Chicago. He has put up two interceptions and 6 passes defended in each season and last season saw his tackle numbers jump to a career best 45. And lest you should think that was just tackling on catches he gave up, QB’s have had sub-80 passer rating when throwing to his receivers each of the past two seasons as well.Bradley Roby Womens Bo Jackson Jersey , Broncos This former first round pick has been a key part of the Broncos pass defense the past five years and has set career highs in various categories nearly every season of his 5-year career. As a rookie he put up two interceptions, 13 passes defended, and a still career best 67 tackles (65 solo). Following his second season, Roby stepped up big time in the Super Bowl, breaking up three passes. The following season, he matched a career-high 2 interceptions, but this time he returned BOTH for touchdowns. Then in 2017, he had a career-high 17 passes defended. Last season, he started a career-high 15 games and put up an interception, 12 passes defended, 2 forced fumbles, and 50 combined tackles. The Raiders should take this 26-year-old away off the hands of their division rival.Steven Nelson, ChiefsSpeaking of stealing from your division rival, Nelson quietly had a pretty good season on an otherwise shaky Chiefs’ secondary. Nelson had a career best 4 interceptions and 68 tackles while starting every game. He also had 15 pass breakups, which is one fewer than his previous career best from 2016 when he started all 15 games in which he appeared. Despite being targeted an NFL most 113 times according to Pro Football Focus Bo Jackson Jersey , Nelson held his own, allowing just 53.1% completions and a passer rating of 76.8 in his coverage.Follow @LeviDamien After JuJu Smith-Schuster defended Ben Roethlisberger‘s leadership last week, Antonio Brown responded with a message about his former teammate.“got paid yet! They will do and say anything to make sure they going to get paid even if it鈥檚 compromising integrity or anything ! sad but true,” Brown wrote on social media.Smith-Schuster, though, said the receivers do not have a beef.“That’s my guy,” Smith-Schuster said, via TMZ Sports. “[Everything’s good between us] always. There’s no bad blood.”After the Steelers traded Brown to Oakland, Smith-Schuster offered praise for Roethlisberger, writing on social media: “I was so blessed to enter the league and play with a Hall of Fame QB as a 20-year old. Ben has taught me so much, he鈥檚 a true Leader and I can鈥檛 wait to rock with my guy this season.”It appeared to set off Brown, but Smith-Schuster maintains that he and Brown are good.

Broncos quarterback Joe Flacco went for a second opinion on the neck injury that knocked him out of the lineup this week and reports indicate the outlook is pretty similar to the one given by his first doctor.Word earlier this week was that Flacco would miss around six weeks as a result of the injury and Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the timetable remains in that neighborhood. The Broncos will need a roster spot to promote Brett Rypien as Brandon Allen‘s backup and head coach Vic Fangio was asked on Thursday if Flacco will go on injured reserve.Fangio told reporters that the team has not made that decision yet https://www.broncoslockerroom.com/authentic-phillip-lindsay-jersey , but that they expect to have it by the end of the week. With eight games left on the Broncos schedule, a move to I.R. would end Flacco’s season. If Flacco does go on I.R., he’ll join Drew Lock on the list until and unless the Broncos designate the second-round pick to return from his thumb injury. I thought about using this article to do sack-blame, but I decided that warranted its own article. This will be the standard format for 3rd & long. The defense was the only leg of the tripod that did its job on Thursday. Special teams and the offense both failed in spectacular fashion. You could argue the defense should not have allowed 17 points once the Chiefs lost their wunderkind to injury, but the defense was constantly put in bad situations by the offense and the special teams. The Chiefs started two drives in Denver territory (at the DEN 38 and 21)and both ONLY led to field goals. They also started one drive at their own 49 while the Broncos started all drives on their end of the field with only two beyond the 25 (DEN 35 and 27). The Chiefs won the special team’s battle on every front, and to the (now-muted) Chiefs’ special teams’ troll on Twitter - You were right. Special teams played a critical role in this game, even if it didn’t in the previous three. The defense did a decent job of stopping the run on first down. KC ran the ball 13 times for 49 yards on first down (3.77 yards per carry), but almost half of that came off one 22-yard run in the fourth quarter. Six of their 13 first-down runs gained one yard or less. For the season Phillip Lindsay Jersey White , the Broncos defense is 24th at stopping the run on first down (4.9 yards per carry). The Jets are still the best team in the league at stopping the run on first down, allowing only 3.0 yards per carry. The Browns are the worst, allowing 5.5. When the defense forced KC into third-and-long, Broncos stopped the Chiefs six out of seven times.Unfortunately the defense was not so good at stopping KC on third-and-short - or medium - where they converted four of eight. All four conversions came on third-and-short, including the touchdown to Mecole Hardman. For the season the defense is fifth at stopping offenses from converting on third-and-long. Denver has only allowed nine conversions on 46 attempts (19.6 percent). The Patriots are currently leading the league, allowing conversion on 12.2 percent (6 of 50) while the Texans are currently the worst, allowing conversion on 40 percent (20 of 50).Third-and-long offense Now let’s talk a little about the offensive offense. I was surprised to see that the Broncos are not the worst offense in the league at converting on third-and-long (that would be the Dolphins at 10.3 percent, or 4 of 39).The offense currently ranks 27th at converting on third-and-long with 21.3 percent (10 of 47). Contrast that with the Cowboys who have converted on 38.6 percent of their third-and-long chances this season (13 of 34). One reason the Broncos are having troubles on third-and-long is that the offensive line has been having troubles pass protecting over the past two games. I’ll get into this in a post later this week Womens Phillip Lindsay Jersey , but I wanted some answers as to why. Is the offense ending up in third-and-long more often than other offenses around the league? My gut says yes, but what does the data say? The data says my gut is wrong. The Broncos have had 91 third-down plays this season and only 43 of them have been in long situations (7 or more yards needed)That is the 11th best offense at staying OUT OF third-and-long situations. One reason with this that the Broncos are the 11th best team at gaining yards when we run the ball on first down (4.8 ypc). I seem to remember the Broncos having a hard time running the ball in the second half when being in the lead, but the average (at least on first-down runs) only goes down to 4.7 yards per carry when leading the game running the ball on first down in the second half. Now, bear in mind that Broncos spent so little time leading ball games in their five losses that they have exactly one second-half rushing attempt on first or second down with a lead in those five games (a run for no gain by Phillip Lindsay when Broncos were up 17-13 vs Jacksonville). In the two victories, the Broncos have averaged 5.7 and 4.0 yards respectively on first and second down runs in the second half with a lead. Play calling on offenseI saw somewhere that our offensive play-calling has been ridiculously predictable in the second half when we have a lead. Let’s shine some light on that. The Broncos have run 25 plays on first down in the second half with a lead - 21 runs and four passes. Eight of those carries have gone to Royce Freeman who had gained 17 yards on those runs (2.13 yards per carry); 13 to Lindsay who has gained 88 yards on those runs (6.77 yards per carry). runs. On the other 10 runs, he’s gained 10 net yards. Joe Flacco is three-of-four for 21 yards (one first down) on those throws. So I wondered if other teams are this predictable in the second half with a lead. They are not. In fact, only two have run more often in this situation (first down in the second half with a lead) than the Broncos - the Giants and 49ers. Of the nine predictable teams (teams running the ball more than 75 percent of the time in this situation) John Elway Jersey White , the Broncos are fourth best at average yards gained (5.0). Only Carolina (7.6), Chicago (6.8) and San Fransisco (6.2) have averaged more yards gained on first down in these situations. Keep this in mind though - the Broncos have gained 125 yards on these 25 plays.78 of those yards came on three runs. The other 22 plays have gained 47 yards (2.13 yards per play). That figure of 2.13 on first down plays in the second half with a lead would be second to last in the league without Lindsay’s three long runs. Only the Dolphins have been worse, and they have only had six plays. It’s possible that the reason for this predictable play-calling is that Rich Scangerello does not trust the offensive line to protect Joe Flacco, but it would appear to me that the league has picked up on this tendency, and that play-action could be extremely effective in these situations (assuming we have a game in the remainder of the season with a second half lead).

He told Mike Florio in a text that the deal is “going through” and posted something similar on Twitter a short time later.According to Bills General Manager Brandon Beane, however, there will be no trade involving the wideout.“We inquired about Antonio Brown on Tuesday, and kept talks open with the Steelers,” Beane said, via Adam Schefter of ESPN. “We had positive discussions Womens JuJu Smith-Schuster Jersey , but ultimately it didn鈥檛 make sense for either side. As great a player as Antonio Brown is, we have moved on and our focus is on free agency.”Rapoport’s latest report said the two teams were “close on compensation” while also acknowledging a major sticking point that will hang over any conversation about a Brown trade. That sticking point is Brown himself and the ability he has to put the kibosh on any trade by refusing to report to a team acquiring him from Pittsburgh. We’ve heard that Brown wants more guaranteed money and a winning situation at various points over the last few months and he said in an interview that he’d walk away from football rather than play for a team that isn’t “going to聽play by my rules.”Whether that’s what caused things to break down with the Bills is unclear, but it does seem we can cross Buffalo off the list of possible landing spots for the wideout.

Whatever sense of duty you may have had that caused you to join is enhanced to a level you never thought possible. As is your sense of sacrifice and responsibility for the the greater good and the person next to you is something you can’t quantify or even explain. For Raiders top pick Clelin Ferrell Antonio Brown Jersey White , he was as close to understanding these concepts as one can get without having served himself. Both of his parents served in the military. His father served in Vietnam. His mother in Operation Desert Storm. That’s the environment in which he was raised.“For me, coming from a military family, my mom always told me, ‘Clelin, you’ve got to understand’,” said Ferrell. “That drill sergeant who was training her for war, he was hard on her all the time but he knew that that drill sergeant loved her because he didn’t want her to go out there and die on that battlefield. It’s all about good relationships and just letting the people around you know that any type of leadership role as far as holding them accountable, it comes from a good place. He now brings that to the NFL. Along with a maturity well beyond his years that understandably impressed Mike Mayock and Jon Gruden.“For me, like I was blessed enough to play for a team where we competed at the highest level every year and I just remember it’s just about enjoying the journey. When you want to reach that mountain top, it’s a long road up that thing, so it’s about doing the common things in the uncommon way . . . Obviously, the Pro Football Hall of Fame came up. Floyd Little: Broncos representation in the HOF ‘getting there’On Wednesday, Denver Broncos Hall of Famer and Ring of Famer, Floyd Little, hit the airwaves on Orange & Blue 760 with Ryan Edwards, Andrew Mason, and Steve Atwater. They talked a lot about the Broncos in general, but it was Little’s comments about the franchises representation in the Hall of Fame the piqued my interest. Little noted that they are finally ‘getting there’ on representation in Canton and he’s right. The Broncos were held out for decades until John Elway broke through for the franchise in 2004 with his induction. It took a few more years, but the flood gates finally opened. Elway was followed by Gary Zimmerman in 2008, Floyd Little in 2010, Shannon Sharpe in 2011, Terrell Davis in 2017, and finally a duo in 2019 with owner Pat Bowlen and Champ Bailey soon to be enshrined. That’s seven Hall of Famer’s in the last 15 years. Little went on to note that he won’t be truly satisfied until the Broncos have at least ten players in Canton. Ten is a good number. If I had to pick the next three, I think I would go with Steve Atwater in 2020. Then Randy Gradishar and Karl Mecklenbuurg to round things out hopefully sooner rather than later. What do you think? Are the Broncos finally getting there in terms of proper representation in the Pro Football Hall of Fame? After looking through the transcript of Denver Broncos General Manager John Elway’s end of the year presser Womens John Elway Jersey , one comment stood out to me in particular. He was asked which top attributes he’ll be looking for in the next head coach and his answer pointed to one candidate in my opinion - current Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio.Elway said he he wants “them great on one side of the ball” and said he was looking for experience, someone who understands the game, and the ability to lead men. All these qualities fit Fangio.First, Elway wants someone great on one side of the ball. Fangio is one of the better defensive minds in the game and is the mastermind behind the dominant Chicago Bears defense this year. The Bears rank third in total defense(299.7 yards), seventh in passing with 219.7 yards per game, first in rush defense (80 yards per game), first in points per game (17.7 points per game), third in sacks (50), and first in interceptions with 27 (the next closest was 21). I mean, that is pretty damn impressive, and this wasn’t just a one-time thing either. He has long been a dominant defensive coach in the league and had dominant defenses with the 49ers during the Harbaugh era as well. So his track record does indeed speak for itself. Fans love Fangio for obvious reasons. Likely the same reasons why we love/loved Wade Phillips - and the Bears players love Fangio as well. Hell, everyone loves Vic Fangio apparently. After a coaching change, many players on the Bears roster were concerned about Fangio leaving, including former Broncos linebacker Danny Trevathan. Fangio was obviously retained by Matt Nagy and the rest is history. Cornerback Prince Amukamara who plays a major role on the Bears defense heaped praise on Fangio this past offseason.Players even signed with the Bears because of Fangio’s presence. Linebacker Aaron Lynch who played for Fangio in San Francisco praised his mentorship and leadership qualities. If we can talk Elway’s words as truth then Fangio is likely the Broncos top candidate heading into the interviews. He does come with some risks, but what head coaching candidate doesn’t? Plus Bradley Chubb Broncos Jersey , his hiring likely allows Gary Kubiak to get back on the sidelines as the Broncos offensive coordinator. line coach Mike Munchak fits most of these qualities as well, but he’s not really dominant on one side of the ball. He’s a damn good positional coach, but really isn’t an offensive or defensive minded guy. Damn good teacher and leader though. Qualities that likely got him an interview with the Broncos. As for the others? None really fit these qualities. Taylor is young and potentially promising, but only has limited coordinator experience and it didn’t do all that well in Miami. Brian Flores is a Patriots coordinator and those guys never really pan out. Plus, as I hate to say it, he likely is the Rooney Rule guy this year for most teams. Finally, Chuck Pagano is the “safe guy,” not really dominant in one area, but good in many. I would honestly view a Pagano hire as a lateral move. I could be wrong, but not the hire I would anticipate the Broncos to make after Vance Joseph’s tenure. In the end, Fangio appears to be the best candidate. However, the interview process will be key here. The candidate who connects the best with Elway and company should get the nod.

May that the team is expecting big things from wide receiver Josh Doctson during the 2019 season https://www.theredskinslockerroom.com/authentic-dwayne-haskins-jersey , but their actions didn’t show tremendous confidence that Doctson will finally pull everything together on the field. The team opted not to exercise its 2020 option on Doctson’s contract, so he’ll be set for free agency after this season comes to an end. If he does come through with those big things, the lack of an option will leave Doctson with a chance to land an even better deal come next year.Doctson said that the decision to pass on the option provides him with “no motivation” as he prepares for the season and the 2016 first-round pick also said that there’s no added pressure to playing in a contract year.“There’s been, what, three or four first rounds since me? So that pressure is on them more so than I am, I can just play ball now,” Doctson said, via the team’s website. “It’s a good thing and a bad thing I guess, maybe. But it is what it is. That’s the pressure of the world versus the pressure you put on yourself. Once you see what you’re thinking about you can just relax and play ball.”After 81 catches in three seasons, some players would likely feel a little more pressure to produce in a contract year. We’ll see how Doctson’s approach works out for him. Josh Johnson is accustomed to moving around the NFL. On Wednesday, he moved from one league to another.Johnson was the first player protected last week in a quarterbacks-only draft held by the Alliance of American Football, which will begin play the weekend after the Super Bowl in February. His rights in the eight-team spring league were owned by the San Diego Fleet. But when the Washington Redskins needed a backup for a third-stringer — with top quarterbacks Alex Smith and Colt McCoy out with broken legs, Mark Sanchez is now the starter — they turned to Johnson. The Alliance has an “NFL out” in its contract, league founder and Pro Football Hall of Famer Bill Polian explains. So Johnson was allowed to terminate his deal with the Fleet and head to D.C.“He is a good player clearly Womens Dwayne Haskins Jersey , and he deserved to be taken where he was in our draft,” Polian said Wednesday, “and we’re glad he has an opportunity with the Redskins. If he is able to come back with us, that would be great. And if he stays with the Redskins, that is what we are here for.”Johnson, 32, has been active for four NFL teams since being selected in the fifth round of the 2008 draft by Tampa Bay. He’s also spent time in several other camps, but has not thrown a pass in an NFL game since 2011. He started five games for the Bucs and lost them all.“I’ve been with Josh,” Redskins coach Jay Gruden said. “He was with me at Cincinnati. He was with me at Tampa. And he knows the terminology. So when I say ‘Dusty,’ he knows exactly what it is. ‘Quick seam,’ he knows what it is. So he can function that way, with the cadence, with the terminology.“When you have three or four days to prepare for a team and get a quarterback ready, you got to have somebody with some familiarity. I felt most comfortable with Josh because he knows our protection calls. He remembers a lot of our terminology. He can move around a little bit. But mainly Dwayne Haskins Jersey White , for the sake of communication we had to have somebody that had a little bit of background in our system.”Johnson was brought in by a few teams this year for workouts when they had quarterback injuries, but figured his next on-field performances would be in the Alliance. Given Washington’s bad luck at the position this year, however, there’s a chance he could be playing against the Giants on Sunday.“I’m grateful to The Alliance for giving me the opportunity to continue my pro career,” Johnson said. “I know I can play this game at a high level and having coach (Mike) Martz, who won a Super Bowl, select me to lead the San Diego Fleet was further validation for me. What I loved about The Alliance was their commitment to players. They made it clear from the jump if an opportunity presented itself to continue my dream of playing in the NFL, they would fully support me. That’s what happened here with the Redskins, and I’m ready to go if and when my name is called.”Fifteen players who had signed with the Alliance are currently under contract in the NFL. All would be welcomed back to the new league should they not stick in the NFL.“If he wishes to play in the spring, we would certainly welcome him back with open arms,” Polian said of Johnson, but he could be referring to any of those players. “I hope that is the case.”

After the first two days of selections, there were still positions of need to help the black-and-gold get to the next level in 2019. There have been numerous thoughts and debates regarding what the team will do on Day 3 of the NFL Draft. When the dust settled, the Steelers have selected offensive guard Derwin Gray from Maryland, with their seventh round pick of the draft. For those who may not know much about Sutton as a player Womens Jerome Bettis Jersey , this is his overall breakdown of his game, per his NFL Draft Profile:What do you think of the selection? JuJu Smith-Schuster has traded in his green velvet suit for a hard hat.The Steelers wide receiver was back to work this week after his viral prom weekend, but showing up to work is nothing new for him. In fact, he’s been at every day of voluntary work this offseason in an effort to become a bit of a role model for the young receivers surrounding him.“It’s very important,” Smith-Schuster said Jerome Bettis Jersey , via Gerry Dulac of the . “There are some new guys on the team, and building that chemistry and that connection means a lot. While Smith-Schuster has shown he can put up numbers, he’s also taking obvious and deliberate steps to try to push the Steelers past some of the Brown-related storylines.“Everyone is there for each other,” Smith-Schuster said. “There’s no individual. Everyone’s into playing, winning games, the Super Bowl. Everybody’s on the same page. After winning just four games and trading away a few valuable pieces Womens Derek Carr Jersey , the Oakland Raiders were not anywhere close to a playoff team in 2018. giving up 29.2 points per game. On the other side of the ball it wasn’t much better for Oakland as it ranked just 28th in the league scoring 18.1 points per game. With some quick math, the Raiders had an average point differential of 11.1 points per game. Absolutely abysmal. Despite a poor season for the second straight year, Derek Carr is still optimistic about the team’s future. “We need some guys who can come in and help us now,” Carr said in an interview with 940-AM in Fresno via NBC Sports. “We have some good building pieces. We have some foundational pieces. Obviously, we have a quarterback, so we don’t need one of those. That’s the good thing.“We just need some players who can help us win now. We’re building this thing. We’ve been building this thing. We’ve built this thing a couple of times. It’s time to get people who can just come in and help us now. There are a lot of veterans on this team who signed contracts or signed extensions or free-agent deals to come play here because we want to win and we believe in this system and what we’re doing.”The optimism is valid since Oakland does have the cap space and a plethora of draft picks to turn around the organization rather quickly. But that involves hitting on a high percentage of those draft picks and free agent signings to fill the many holes that exist on the roster. If the Raiders do hit on a large percentage of their offseason decisions Antonio Brown Raiders Jersey , they will be a lot closer to the playoffs than people think. However, that will be much easier said than done considering Jon Gruden’s track record selecting players in Tampa Bay.Football Outsiders ‘loves’ Raiders DT PJ Hall as a reliable run stuffer, pass rusher This week, the good folks from Football Outsiders have been answering several questions posed to them from we here at Silver and Black Pride. The first three questions dealt with the coaching staff and receiver group, but this question is about the defensive line. The final question answered by Football Outsiders will be posted tomorrow night.S&BP: Oakland has put a lot of emphasis on their defensive line this year. They added PJ Hall, Arden Key, and Maurice Hurst to a line that already has Bruce Irvin and Womens Bo Jackson Jersey , as soon as his new contract gets done, Khalil Mack. How do you feel their pass rush will perform this year in relation to top units like Philadelphia, the Rams and Denver? It’s natural to be skeptical of huge production estimates for rookie players, but that’s exactly what we’re getting from Denver, with Bradley Chubb expected to be a key contributor. Why shouldn’t we expect the same from the Raiders’ pair of rookie defensive tackles, especially considering the reason we only got 31 sacks was a total lack of interior pressure?Arden Key fell in the draft because of those very concerns about returning to the game from a rehab stint and lessened production as a senior. Time will tell if he is ready and mature enough to be a true professional and conduct himself in the way that is expected of him. Early reports are good, but the nature of addiction problems is that they come back. Hopefully Key will prove the Raiders wise in drafting him.The talent level disparity between these Raiders Womens Antonio Brown Jersey , who have had a dominant defensive line in the preseason, and the top lines in the league isn’t huge as long as Khalil Mack is on that line. If he isn’t, the line is middle of the road, but still a step up from what the Raiders fielded last year based on the upgrades to the interior.Football Outsiders are right in that Mack is the key to all the Raiders’ hopes of having an elite defensive line, but they do like the players we picked up, as do we all. Hopefully that deal for Mack can get done soon so that the Raiders can be one of the most feared lines in football.

The Denver Broncos are getting set to square off against their oldest rival Womens Bradley Chubb Jersey , the Oakland Raiders. while they are still in Oakland, and it will be the end of an era. The Oakland Raiders will finish out their time in Oakland on Monday Night Football against Denver, and Will Parks joined First and Ten at Ten on Orange and Blue 760 to talk about the importance of that game. There is no doubt that the Broncos will always look at the Raiders as their most hated rival. Parks said it perfectly when talking about the potential atmosphere of the game.Perhaps this was a bit of an understatement, but there will always be a healthy dose of hatred between the Broncos and the Raiders. Another important aspect of the Broncos upcoming game against the Raiders is the hope of avoiding their second consecutive losing season. While some in Broncos Country may argue that winning these meaningless games only hurts the draft status, many fans, and all the players know how important winning is, especially against the Raiders. There is something to be said for finishing strong.Parks also looks at finishing strong as momentum swing for the Broncos. Beating Oakland, and then winning against the Chargers to end the season means the Broncos would be 4-2 in the division. This is not meaningless to the players, and winning is important to their outlook on the next season. The only thing that matters right now is beating the Raiders. Nothing would make Broncos Country happier than sending them off to Las Vegas with a loss in their last home game in Oakland. DENVER (AP) — The Denver Broncos reeled off big run after big run against the soft underbelly of the Kansas City Chiefs defense.Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman ran roughshod over the Chiefs. Each scored a touchdown and Freeman eluded seven defenders and dragged a linebacker into the end zone on his 14-yard score.“We ran the ball well,” Broncos quarterback Case Keenum said. “We started off so many series just pounding the rock at second-and-1, first-and-10. Even with some loaded boxes that K.C. brought Womens Dre'Mont Jones Jersey , our offensive line played really well.“We’ve got to keep running the ball well. If we keep running the ball like we do, we’re going to win a lot of games.”Nobody could stop Lindsay and Freeman Monday night — except Broncos offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave, who abandoned his great ground game at key moments in the Broncos’ 27-23 loss .That included a three-and-out series in which the Broncos lined up in three-receiver sets three times in between the Chiefs’ final two drives, both of which ended in touchdowns as Patrick Mahomes rallied the Chiefs (4-0) back from a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit.Lindsay ran for 69 yards on a dozen carries for a 5.8-yard average and Freeman ran for 67 yards on just eight hand-offs, a whopping 8.4-yard average.Lindsay’s long run was 19 yards and both Freeman and speedy wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders reeled off 18-yard runs.“They ran downhill, but you score points by throwing the football,” Broncos coach Vance Joseph said. “We ran the ball to control the game, but you throw the ball to score.”Clinging to a 23-20 lead, the Broncos didn’t burn enough clock to keep Mahomes on the sideline and give Denver’s exhausted defense enough of a breather. After a run for no gain, a catch for no gain and a sack, Marquette King shanked a 35-yard punt that gave the Chiefs the ball at midfield for their game-winning drive. The Chiefs ran well themselves https://www.broncoslockerroom.com/authentic-drew-lock-jersey , with Kareem Hunt leading the way with 121 yards on 19 carries.“It was a big game,” Hunt said. “We’ve been up big on everyone we’ve played so far. It’s good to see where we’re at mentally and be able to fight back and come back in the fourth quarter down 10 points. That shows a team that’s not going to give up.”Other takeaways from the Chiefs’ sixth straight victory over the Broncos:MAGIC MAHOMESPatrick Mahomes threw for 304 yards and a touchdown, a 2-yarder to tight end Travis Kelce that sparked the fourth-quarter comeback. That gave him 14 TDs and zero interceptions through the first month of the season. But the play everyone was talking was his 6-yard strike to Tyreek Hill with his left hand while getting pulled down by Von Miller .“I didn’t think about it at all,” Mahomes said. “I was just kind of scrambling left, I felt Von on my back and I knew I couldn’t throw it with my right hand. I knew we needed the first down, so I kind of shot-putted it to Tyreek. … You just have to get the ball in their hand somehow.”“It caught me off-guard,” Hill said. “I’ve never seen a quarterback who is right-handed throw the ball left-handed.”Said Hunt: “I thought, is this dude a magician or something? He is doing things that you don’t see often.”Or ever, suggested Chiefs safety Eric Murray.“That one is new,” Murray said. “I’m glad we all got to see it.”Miller didn’t see it.He was wrapped around Mahomes’ ankles trying to bring down the second-year star.“I didn’t know he threw it with his left hand,” Miller conceded.Neither did linebacker Shane Ray.“I didn’t see the hand switch Dalton Risner Jersey ,” Ray said. “I heard about it.”Along with everyone else.KEENUM CONUNDRUMThrough one month, Case Keenum isn’t the same quarterback who led the Minnesota Vikings to the NFC championship in January after injuries to Sam Bradford and Teddy Bridgewater. So far, Keenum has just three touchdown passes to go with six interceptions with the Broncos after throwing for 22 TDs and just seven interceptions.“We believe in Case and he’s shown he can win games late for us,” Joseph said.Keenum nearly pulled off his third fourth-quarter comeback for the Broncos but he overthrew a wide-open Demaryius Thomas streaking down the Chiefs sideline with 16 seconds left from the K.C. 28.“It was close,” Keenum said. “I want to watch it on film. But it felt really close. There’s a few, especially those types of plays that I lose a little sleep over, thinking about it, laying at night in bed. It’s a tough one, it stings.”KING’S STINGThe Broncos brought in a practice squad punter to push King last week but he continued his disappointing first season in Denver by averaging just 41 yards on three punts with a paltry net of 28.7.His 35-yard duck gave the Chiefs the ball at their 40 with 4 1/2 minutes left.“He’s got to perform better,” Joseph said. “We’re at home and it’s his job to flip the field. It ain’t happening.”
